The Chick Workholding System 5 family has evolved through the pursuit of innovation. The range consists of the Qwik-Lok fast-acting vice for vertical CNC machines, and the Multi-Lok for horizontal machine, which is essentially multiple Qwik-Loks placed on the side of a tooling column. Take advantage of the dual station clamping benefits which allow you to present multiple parts to the spindle at once, cutting machine downtime which in turn saves you time and money.
Can be used for 1st and 2nd Operation
Deadlength Actuation Eleminates part movement when Clamping
Case hardened, optimising the rigidity, strength and durability.
Uses 3 Different Types of Collet
Klamp CRL60 collet chucks are suitable for spring, varibore and rubberflex collets increasing its flexibility. Varibore and rubberflex collets allow rough, unfinished bar to be machined in the first operation and spring collets can be used for high accuracy in the second operation.
Workpiece remains in a fixed position during actuation allowing for precise z-axis positioning. A tapered sleeve is pushed forward, compressing the collet and gripping the workpiece.
Maximum Capacity can be increased to 65mm using Rubberflex Collets

The gripping pull-back action to actuate the collet chuck means the work piece will be moved slightly in the Z-Axis. This is normally acceptable for first operation work and the work piece position can easily be determined with a facing cut. The 5C and 16C collets have been designed with a long small nose diameter allowing for good clearance for tooling. All collet closers are case hardened and ground optimising the rigidity, strength and durability.

The IBH link S5++ is a cost-efficient alternative solution for conventional PLC-PC-connections via Ethernet. If a PLC has to be connected via Ethernet with a PC, usually a CP communication processor needs to be applied to the PLCs rack. Due to the increasing integration in automation technology, more than ever a connection from a PLC to a PC is required. In general, the communication processors (e.g. CPs from Siemens, or Ethernet components from other manufacturers) are used for the connection to the PLC.
As an alternative solution, IBHsoftec has recently introduced the IBHLink S5++ for connecting a PLC with a PC. The IBHLink S5++ is a compact and robust Ethernet-converter within a 15-pin Sub-D-housing for a connection via a switch, a hub or even directly to a PC with a common network adaptor.
The used protocol is the standard TCP/IP protocol. In this way, the user can benefit from all the advantages of Ethernet like remote maintenance via a standard router or VPN-connections.
